Even though Odisha government has extended the deadline for affixation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) by a month, a lot of people in the state are still apprehensive regarding the benefits and many are still confused on how to comply with the new rules.
Such people are now taking to social media to express their concern. The State Transport Authority (STA) is also making all efforts to reply to the concerns and queries of vehicle owners through its official Twitter handle.
Q.1: How to apply for vehicles whose manufacturer has closed its operations in India and not available on HSRP portal?
STA answer: Guidelines will be shared for such vehicles soon.
Q.2: Is it for electric vehicles also?
STA answer: It is mandatory for all vehicles registered in Odisha.
Q.3: How about HSRP for tractor and trailer?
STA answer: Guidelines will be issued in this regard soon.
Q.4: Make the process easy for vehicles of other states?
STA answer: If they are plying within Odisha for a temporary period of less than 12 months then affixing HSRP depends upon implementation by their original state.
