President Ram Nath Kovind will pay a two-day visit to Puri, starting on February 19.

As per highly placed sources, the President will arrive in the pilgrim town on February 19, He will launch a programme commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Srila Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupada at Saradhabali ground in the Holy town on February 20. The President will also visit Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Mutt at 10.30 am.

The first citizen will also pay obeisance to the holy Trinity at Srimandir during his two-day visit to the city, sources informed.

Kovind will return on February 20. This is the third visit of President Kovind to the Piligrim city so far.

The Puri district administration has already begun preparation for the President’s visit. Senior police officials, led by Central Range IG of Police Narasingha Bhola, reviewed security arrangements in the town ahead of the visit. The police officials visited Chaitanya Gaudiya Mutt, Srimandir and the Saradhabali ground to examine the security arrangements there.

Notably, President Kovind accompanied by his wife Savita Kovind, had paid a three-day visit to Odisha in March 2021.
