Plus 2 girl student dies after falling from hostel building in Balasore, family alleges murder

Tension erupted in Balasore town on Thursday after a girl student of a residential college in the area reportedly died after falling from the hostel building. As per sources, the deceased was a Plus 2 student and a resident of Bisoi area in Mayurbhanj district.

Alleging murder, the mother of the deceased student said, "My daughter has been murdered. The hostel madam used to inform us to take our daughter home even in case of minor health issues. So, why didn't they call and inform us about our daughter falling off the hostel building?"

She further alleged that hostel inmates of the deceased along with the hostel authority killed her daughter out of jealousy. "My daughter was a good student. Out of jealousy, her roommates and the madam have killed her," she alleged.

She also demanded immediate arrest of all the accused in connection with the alleged murder of her daughter.

Meanwhile, police have reportedly started an investigation based on the complaint filed by the family members of the deceased student.
