Vigilance officials on Friday trapped the Under Secretary of Planning & Convergence Department while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.
The accused has been identified as Poorna Chandra Sahoo.
As per reports, Sahoo was apprehended by the sleuths while accepting bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant, the Owner of a computer firm towards release of bill for supply of 10 computers to the office.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from Sahoo.
A case under Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S has been registered against him.
Further investigation is in progress against Sahoo, informed the department.
