In a review meeting held at Bhubaneswar by the School and Mass Education Department, it was resolved to promote 63,500 primary school teachers in the State. A detailed schedule in this regard has been prepared in the meeting.

The review meeting was held with the Chairmanship of Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department, Satyabrata Sahu in the presence of District Education Officers (DEO).

In a press release issued by the Informations and Public Relations department, Sahu said that all the blocks of Odisha have been put under the ‘Mo School’ programme which included 32,447 schools in total.

All the DEOs have been directed to address the issues pertaining to the smooth conduct of Model Schools (Adarsh Vidyalay) in their respective districts. 1223 High schools in the State have been taken under the transformation programme.

In another major decision, 15,000 Women Self Help Groups in Odisha will be entrusted with the responsibility of mid-day meal preparation and gardening works of the schools.
