Odisha: Tehsildar Attacked By Miscreant Over Non Procurement Of Paddy In Bolangir

Tusura Tehsildar Chandramani Nag was allegedly attacked by a miscreant on Monday when the former went to meet and pacify the farmers who were agitating over non procurement of paddy.

According to sources, hundreds of farmers blocked State Highway-26 by placing paddy-laden tractors on road alleging irregularities and confusion in token distribution at Deogaon PACS. 

When Nag reached the spot and was discussing with the agitating farmers one miscreant attacked him, sources added.

“When I was discussing the problems with the farmers, a man attacked me. I have lodged a complaint in this regard,” Nag said.

The police could not be reached for comments in this connection.
