A young Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer, who grabbed national attentions and turned a ‘real hero’ overnight by diligently doing his duty and stopping superstar Salman Khan for a security check up at Mumbai airport, hails from Odisha.

The young officer, Somnath Mohanty, is a native of Ghanta Sahi near Panikoili of Nayagarh district.

Mohanty was on duty at the Mumbai airport on Friday when Salman Khan arrived at the airport to leave for abroad to shoot for his upcoming film Tiger 3.

In a video, Salman Khan was seen emerging out of his car, putting on his mask and then walking towards the entrance of the airport. When he reached near the entrance, Mohanty firmly stopped him at the gate and asked him to join the queue like a common man in order to show his documents.

Though Salman was seen a bit surprised, he followed the instructions of the young officer and also asked his fans and aides to behave.

Soon after the video clip of the incident went viral, the young officer was flooded with admirations on the internet where users lauded him for diligently doing his duty.

One user named Varsha Singh hailed him as the real superhero. “Reel super hero countered by real super hero. Salute to officer.. Hope all will get inspire of him.. Do ur duty with utmost sincerity like him,” she wrote.

“Salute to this CISF officer. He is a hero for me,” wrote another user.

A third user wrote, “We all citizens are equal. Thanks to the young CISF officer for the security checkup of Salman Khan at airport.”
