The first phase of the Panchayat election will be held on Wednesday and it will be no less than an acid test for some political heavyweights whose constituencies will witness the polling.

The constituencies of Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra and Law Minister Pratap Jena will go for polling on Wednesday. Since these two leaders have been in the crosshair of Opposition parties for several allegations, this Panchayat election will be a litmus test for the duo.

Besides these two leaders, the voting is also going to take place in the constituencies of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Speaker Surya Narayan Patro, Ministers Sushant Singh, Raghunandan Das, Sudam Marandi, Arun Sahu, Naba Das and Niranjan Pujari and Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board Sanjay Das Burma.

They apart, the constituencies of BJD organisational secretary and MLA Pranab Prakash Das, MLA Badri Patra, MLA Pratap Deb and MLA Debi Prasad Mishra will also see people using their franchise tomorrow.

At the same time, BJP's senior leader Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, MPs Basant Panda, Sangeeta Singh Deo and Jual Oram must have been on tenterhooks as their areas are also going to witness voting in this first phase.

Of the Congress leaders, MP Saptagiri Ulaka and MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati are the two whose constituencies will also see polling on Wednesday.
