Odisha Citizens Award 2022: Jury members select finalists before online voting

The 10th edition of the illustrious Odisha Citizens Award (OCA) for the year 2022 reached the final selection phase with jury members on Wednesday nominating their choice of candidates for the coveted awards in multiple fields.

Instituted by OTV, Odisha Citizens Award is a pioneer recognition conferred on personalities in recognition of their contribution to the society in fields of Agriculture, Art and Culture, Industry, Education, Entertainment, Social Service, Sports to Health Services and Politics.

The jury members have finalised one out of four candidates from each category after thorough discussions. The final selection of winners will be made after considering the results of online voting and jury selection.

Noted personalities from across Odisha including Prof. Manoranjan Kar Rtd. Vice-Chancellor, OUAT, Kumkum Mohanty, Odissi Dancer, A.K.Sabat Chartered Accountant, Dash Benhur, Kendra Sahitya Academy Award winner, Sabyasachi Mohapatra, Rabi Das Senior Journalist were some of the members of the juries who took part in the discussion.

The jury members have finalised deserving candidates for the respected awards so let us hope that audience also give their valuable inputs, said Senior journalist Sambit Mohapatra who is the jury in Sports category.

OCA is a praiseworthy effort by the OTV in recognizing personalities who have given true contribution for the welfare of society, said Mohapatra.
