Paying homage to the 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who lost their lives in one of the deadliest terror attacks on the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on this day in 2019, an autorickshaw driver at Anandapur in Keonjhar district is providing free ride to passengers.

As per reports, the autorickshaw driver, Ananda Kumar Jena, has announced to provide free ride to commuters between Anandapur bus stand and sub divisional hospital for two days in the memory of the breavehearts who laid down their lives while protecting the country.

He has also announced to give free ride to Divyang travellers throughout the year, reports added.

“I have started the free ride service remembering the Pulwama heroes. The free ride will be available for two days starting today. However, Divyang persons can avail the free service throughout the year,” Jena said.

Meanwhile, Jena’s philanthropy in memory of the martyrs has earned him adulations from all quarters.

“Even though he is an autorickshaw driver, his love for motherland is beyond words. This kind of gesture by Jena must be appreciated by the State government so that more inspired youths like him will come forward,” said Rabi Narayan Hota, a resident of Anandapur.

Notably On February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber of the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) blew up a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district in which 40 personnel were killed.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and others hailed the sacrifice by the CRPF jawans.
