  • CRUT to resume Mo Bus service on all routes from August 2 (Monday)
  • Regular bus service to remain suspended on weekends

The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) on Saturday announced to resume Mo Bus services on all routes across the Capital Region from Monday (August 2), 2021.

The announcement on the resumption of Mo Bus service came soon after the Odisha government announced the unlock guidelines for the month of August allowing a series of activities to reopen. 

“In total 194 buses will operate on 25 routes from 7 am-7 pm on the weekdays (Monday-Friday),” an official statement said quoting CRUT General Manager Dipti Mahapatro.

Regular Mo Bus service will continue to remain suspended on the weekends. However, bus service for incoming passengers will continue from Railway Station to Cuttack and Khordha and shuttle service will be available from Airport toRailway Station during the weekends, the statement added.   

The CRUT authorities further informed that no standing passenger will be allowed to travel in the buses while wearing of mask has been made compulsory for all passengers. 

“No mask, no entry. We appeal all the commuters to continue taking precautions while they commute in Mo Bus,” Mahapatro added.

The CRUT said all the crew members of Mo Bus service have been inoculated with two doses of vaccine. Besides, cleaning and disinfection of Mo Buses are being done on daily basis as per standard operating procedure in the interest of passengers and staff deployed in the buses.
