Actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty on Monday gave a 'Bhagabata’ to his estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini, requesting her to read the book, live in peace and let his family live in peace as well.

Mohanty sent the holy book to Varsha through her lawyer following the hearing at the family court in Cuttack. The Parliamentarian had attended the court to give his evidence. The actress’s lawyer had questioned Mohanty for quite a long period.

On the other hand, another related petition couldn’t be heard at the Cuttack district judge court. The day was fixed to hear the SDJM court’s order to Varsha, directing her to vacate her husband’s paternal house and make her staying arrangements somewhere else.

Earlier, the Cuttack district judge court had issued an interim stay on the SDJM court’s order and fixed Monday to hear the case.

At the same time, the Orissa High Court had earmarked Monday to hear the case relating to the actor uploading videos on social media platforms. A bench headed by the Chief Justice, Orissa High Court, has set July 11 for the next hearing.

Notably, the SDJM court had on June 2 directed Varsha to vacate her husband’s paternal house within two months of receiving the first installment of house rent. The court had also asked the actress’s husband to give Varsha Rs 30,000 on or before the 10th of every month for her accommodation. The actor had deposited the amount in Varsha’s bank account the very next day. However, the High Court had on June 21 stayed the order.
