Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi on Sunday interacted with senior citizens, professionals and intellectuals in the State capital city and sought feedback on developmental works, hearing of grievances and their solutions.

The interaction programme was organised by a non-political forum, Samarth at Rotary club in Bhubaneswar. Samarth is a trust formed to work for welfare of the society involving people from different walks of life.

The intellectuals, professionals and senior citizens talked about several issues of the city during the interaction with Sarangi.

They gave proposals and advice for developemental plans for the capital city and proposed a ‘Citizen interface’ to Bhubaneswar MP.

“A score of senior citizens, professionals and intellectuals of Bhubaneswar North (Uttar) constituency have requested me to launch a citizen interface as they wanted to raise several issues of the capital city on a platform,” Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi said.

She further added that, the three assembly constituencies in Bhubansewar has over 262 welfare associations.

“We had organised a seminar on the topic 'Bhubaneswar of my Dreams' with senior citizens/professionals/ intellectuals today,” Bhubaneswar MP tweeted.

“Members of various Resident Welfare Associations were present. Heard all.Spoke to them about my ideas and plans regarding this lovely city. Good learning," the MP wrote.

Sarangi shared her plan to conduct this type of programme once in four months.

Earlier on June 25, Sarangi presented her annual report card highlighting her performance for third year as a Parliamentarian before the people of the constituency.

The MP also informed that the Centre had sanctioned funds for 3,909 pucca houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana out of which construction of 3,574 pucca houses has been completed. Besides, 1,27,123 houses have been provided water supply through pipes. Efforts are underway to provide water supply through pipes to remaining 93,862 houses.
