Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma, who is recently busy shooting for Nandita Das' untitled movie in Odisha, visited Lord Jagannath's temple in Puri on Monday.

As per reports, Kapil visited the pilgrim city for the first time to pay obeisance to the Lord under tight security.

The Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon actor was overjoyed following the darshan of the Holy Trinity (Lord Jagannath and his siblings). Kapil went inside the shrine and offered prayers to the Gods. 

"This was my first visit to Puri and the abode of Jagannath, Srimandir. I am quite elated over getting the opportunity of divine darshan of the Holy Trinity. I feel utter satisfaction in mind and spirit," said Kapil Sharma.

The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and Police personnel had made adequate arrangements for escorting the noted actor into the temple.

Upon returning from the temple after darshan, the Firangi actor also received a hearty welcome from a large gathering of fans eagerly waiting outside the temple.

Notably, Kapil is currently busy in shooting for a yet-to-be titled movie directed by Nandita. For the last few days, he has been shooting in different locations of the Odisha Capital City for the upcoming movie in which he will be portraying the character of a food delivery boy. The project director Nandita aims to add a realistic touch to the movie. Hence, she decided to shoot some crucial parts of the movie at various locations in Bhubaneswar.

Earlier on Thursday, Kapil along with Nandita called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence, Naveen Niwas, in Bhubaneswar. The actor duo spent some time with Patnaik and had interaction.
