Aadhaar card custodian Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) had recently issued a notice in this connection to encourage people to voluntarily update their biometrics. Biometric update

Age <5 years at the time of initial enrolment: A child should be re-enrolled when the child attains an age of 5 years and all biometric data should be provided.

Age between 5 and 15 years at the time of enrolment: The resident should furnish all biometrics for updates when he/she resident attains age of 15 years.

Age >15 years at the time of enrolment: People need to update their biometric data every 10 years.

Details which one can update In Aadhaar Demographic information

 Name, address, date of birth/age, gender, mobile number, email address, relationship status and information sharing consent

Biometric information: Iris, finger prints and facial photograph

Visiting Permanent Enrolment Centre: People can request for the demographic/biometric update request with the help of an operator at an Permanent Enrolment Centre. Documentary evidence is collected by the operator at the time of accepting the request.
