Good news for govt employees: Odisha govt raises DA by 3 per cent

Ahead of the festive season, Odisha government on Monday announced a major hike in dearness allowance (DA) for the state government employees. As per the latest notification, the dearness allowance has been hiked by 3 percent.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the proposal for hike in the dearness allowance for the state government employees.

With this, the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased to 34 percent from existing 31 percent. The hike in dearness allowance will be applicable retrospectively from 1.1. 2022, the latest Odisha *government notification read.
