Driver burnt alive after truck catches fire

In an unfortunate incident, a truck driver was charred to death after his vehicle came in contact with an 11 KV live electric wire.

The incident was reported near a toll plaza in Jajpur district at Singhada chakk in Panikoili area.

The deceased driver was identified as Suren Kumar Das, a resident of Gopalpur.

As per reports, after unloading goods from his truck, the driver was heading towards Singhada village when the truck came in contact with an 11 KV live wire.

All of a sudden the truck went up in flames before the driver could jump out of the vehicle.

The local people rescued the driver from the charred truck and immediately rushed him to Jajpur district headquarters hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

As of now, Panikoili police has reached the spot and have ordered an investigation into the matter.
