Diarrhoea outbreak leaves 4 dead, dozens ill in Rayagada

At least four persons died due to suspected diarrhoea at Jhariasahi under Kashipur block of Rayagada district.

Twelve affected persons were undergoing treatment at Tikiri and Kashipur hospitals. Many others affected persons are still in the village. 

As per reports, three persons died following the outbreak last night while another person died during treatment today morning at Tikiri hospital. 

No medical team has reached the village till the filing of the last report.

The Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) said measures will be taken after reviewing situation.
