Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik arrived in New Delhi on a three-day visit to the National capital, commencing on Monday.

He attended a sports conference organised by the BBC where he addressed the spectators on Odisha’s rise as a sporting destination, particularly for hockey.

He will visit the Parliament on Tuesday and follow it up with a discussion with the Central Ministers on various pending issues of Odisha.

Addressing the press in Delhi, Patnaik said, “I am here in Delhi to attend the sports conference the BBC is organising this evening, mainly due to what Odisha is doing for Hockey nationally. I will be visiting the Parliament tomorrow and take up issues of Odisha pending with the Central government.”
