Bhadrak, Dhenkanal Get New District Collectors

The Odisha government on Monday appointed senior OAS officer and Director of AYUSH Trilochan Majhi as Bhadrak Collector, while Managing Director, Odisha State Beverages Corporation Ltd Saroj Kumar Sethi has been transferred as Dhenkanal Collector.

“Saroj Kumar Sethi, OAS (SS), Managing Director, Odisha State Beverages Corporation Ltd. is transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Dhenkanal vice Shri Bhumesh Chandra Behera, OAS(SS) transferred,” a notification issued by State General Administration and Public Grievance department read.

“In exercise of the powers conferred under section 20(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act II of 1974), the State Government do hereby appoint Shri Trilochan Majhi, OAS(SAG) as the District Magistrate in the district of Bhadrak,” the notification stated.

Gyanaranjan Das, who is presently posted as Collector & District Magistrate of Bhadrak has been appointed as Director of Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department.

Similarly, IAS Umakanta Tripathy, Director of Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department has been appointed as Additional Secretary to Government, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.

On the other hand, Bhumesh Chandra Behera, Collector and District Magistrate of Dhenkanal has been transferred and posted as Director of AYUSH.
