Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty, who has been in news due to a matrimonial dispute with actress wife Varsha Priyadarshini, on Monday lashed out at some media houses for allegedly spreading fake news.

Taking to social media, the actor-turned-politician vented out his anger and threatened some YouTube channels and news portals of stringent action if they would not refrain from such practices.

The parliamentarian, who is fighting a bitter legal battle to get a divorce from his estranged wife, has also threatened to knock on the door of court if such organisations would not stop spreading and uploading baseless and fake stories.

He further asked the news portals and YouTube channels not to mislead the general public by publishing such fake, meaningless and fake news.

“I’m silent because of Hon’ble HC’s order but that does not mean that some social media houses or YouTube channels can write or say whatever they want. I warn them not to make such baseless, meaningless and fake news or else, I’ll have to knock the doors of the Court of Law to take stringent action against them. I also would warn them not to confuse general public by fake news,” read Anubhav's Facebook post.
