Another suicide in Bhubaneswar, first year nursing student hangs self

In another case of suicide in Odisha capital, a nursing student late Sunday evening allegedly hanged herself to death inside her hostel room at Jamukoli area under Airfield police limits in Bhubaneswar.

The first year nursing student was found hanging at her hostel room. No exact reason for her death was ascertained immediately. She has been identified as Kuni Kanhar from Bolangir.

On being informed, police rushed to the hostel and recovered the body. Post-mortem will be conducted after the arrival of her parents, police said adding that a probe was on to ascertain the reason of her death.

Worth mentioning, this is the third case of suicide in the Odisha capital in the last couple of days.

A few days back, a married woman identified as Subhashree Mohapatra allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself inside her house in Shastri Nagar locality of Bhubaneswar on August 30 evening.

Similarly, a software engineer Sweta Kumari allegedly hanged herself to death at her apartment after being ‘betrayed’ by her boyfriend Soumyajeet.
