Humanity though has become a rare phenomenon these days, the acts of ambulance driver Subhrakant Nayak reinforces faith in it.

In a rare display of compassion, Nayak, the ambulance driver returned cash and gold ornaments he found lying at Kotagad market in a bag at Kandhamal to its rightful owner.

As per reports, Nayak while driving back his ambulance after dropping a patient at a hospital found a bag lying unattended at the Kotagad market. After opening it he found cash worth Rs 15,500, some gold ornaments and a ration card which was among the other important documents.

Being a man of impeccable honesty, Nayak tracked down Kamala Bagarty, the owner of the bag, from the address mentioned on the ration card and returned her all the belongings.

Speaking with OTV, Nayak said, “I carried the bag after finding it and opened it in front of the other 108 ambulance staff. Upon discovering cash and gold, I searched for the owner and returned her the bag after tracing her.”

“I felt at peace after returning it to Kamala. She really needed that,” Nayak added.

Meanwhile, his act of compassion and honesty has been receiving appreciation from all quarters.
