Agitation in Kharagpur: Several trains cancelled, diverted; check details

A public agitation in the Kharagpur division has disrupted the train services. While routes of several trains have been diverted, two trains have been cancelled.

Here is the list of trains that have been cancelled and diverted:

Cancelled Trains

Train no. 22861, Howrah-Kantabanji Ispat Express that was scheduled to leave from Howrah on September 22 has been cancelled. 

Train no. 22862, Kantabanji- Howrah Ispat Express, the connecting train, scheduled to leave Kantabanji on September 23 has also been cancelled. 

List of Trains Diverted

Train no. 18477, Puri-Rishikesh Kalinga Utkal Express, scheduled to leave from Puri on September 22 has been diverted.

The express train will run via Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda Road-Ib Stations bypassing Bhadrak-Hijli-Tata-Rourkela-Jharsuguda route.

Similarly, Train no. 12801, Puri-New Delhi Purusottam Express scheduled on Sept 22 from Puri will run via Hijli-Adra-Gomoh route bypassing Hijli-Tata route.

Train no. 18005, Howrah-Jagadalpur Ispat Express (now running up to Sambalpur) will run via Kharagpur-Midnapur-Adra-Bokaro Steel City-Purulia-Chandil-Kandra-Sini route bypassing Kharagpur-Tata route.
