Srushti Jayant Deshmukh secured All India Rank 5 and became the top female candidate in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) UPSC CSE 2018.
According to reports, Srushti cleared the UPSC exams in her first attempt. She had reportedly began her preparation for UPSC in the third year of her engineering. She prepared for UPSC and engineering exams side by side.
Like 2015 UPSC topper Tina Dabi, Srushti Deshmukh also has a huge fan following on social media. After topping the civil service exam, Srushti is often in news for her books, fan following and her love story and marriage with fellow IAS officer Dr. Nagarjuna B. Gowda.
After Tina Dabi, Srushti was recently in news for her class 10, 12 mark sheet . According to several reports, she had scored CGP 8 in her 10th boards while in Class 12 she had scored 93.4%.

Srushti has a massive fan following on twitter and Instagram. She has 144K followers on Twitter, while on Instagram she has 1.9 million followers. So, whatever she shares on her social media profiles it attracts a lot of traction and often trends on social media.
Srushti – A Writer:
Srushti has authored a book “The Answer Writing Manual” on Civil service Mains Examination preparation to help UPSC aspirants. The book’s Hindi version was also released recently and it has been getting a lot of appreciations.
According to Srushti, the book is written to address all categories of aspirants, as a complete guide for the beginners and as a tool to help improve marks substantially for the veterans.
She has also included her personal notes, frameworks and flowcharts which helped her crack the CSE. Srushti believes the book will help the aspirants score better in the UPSC exam.
Srushti’s love story and marriage:
Srushti met her life partner Nagarjuna Gowda during her training at LBSNAA (Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration). Gowda who completed his MBBS degree in 2016, had cleared the UPSC exam in 2018 with All India Rank of 418.
Their love story bloomed and then they tied the knot earlier this year in April. The couple even shared beautiful memories of their wedding on social media.
