Amid the massive political slugfest and public outrage over the sensational murder case of Mahaling Sunshine Public School lady teacher Mamita Meher, an eight-year-old girl from the Capital city has jumped on the bandwagon.

Seeking justice for the deceased soul and her family, little girl Pihu along with his father rode bicycles from her home to Naveen Niwas with placards and submitted a letter to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

"In my letter, I have requested the Chief Minister to take necessary steps to expedite the investigation process into Mamita murder case and give justice to her family members at the earliest,” said Pihu.

"I watch news regularly and observe that every month a girl is murdered in Odisha--be it Pihu, Swati and Pari. Recently, Mamita has been murdered. I feel women in the State are increasingly becoming unsafe. I request one and all to express their concerns over the matter and write letters to the Chief Minister to take appropriate and immediate measures," said Pihu.

“Last time I had also written a letter to the Chief Minister seeking justice for Pari and requested him to take strict action against the culprits. But, no action has been taken yet. Now, I have written another letter to him demanding justice for Mamita,” said Pihu adding that she will write a letter to the Prime Minister if immediate actions are not taken against the culprits.
