3 Minor Girls Critical After Bombs In Abandoned Bag Goes Off In Bhadrak

Three minor girls, including two sisters, were critically injured after some country bombs kept in a bag exploded at Trikokna village under Bant police limits of Bhadrak district on Monday.

As per preliminary reports, some children were playing in the village today afternoon when they spotted an abandoned bag in the bushes. When they pulled out the bag, they found several unexploded bombs inside. 

Soon afterward, the bombs exploded leaving three children critically injured while some others escaped unhurt by a whisker.

The injured were initially rushed to a health centre at Bant. They were later shifted to the district headquarters hospital in Bhadrak for further treatment.

Madhu Murmu, the relative of one of the injured girls, said, "The bombs were inside a bag hidden in the bushes. When they pulled the bag, the bombs went off."   
Meanwhile, a police team rushed to the spot and launched a probe to find out the sources of the bombs and the circumstances leading to the mishap.
