At least 26 passengers were injured after a tourist bus en route to Puri from neighbouring West Bengal overturned in Soro police limits of Balasore district on Wednesday.

As per sources, the bus named Momtaj bearing registration No- WB 57E 0786 was on its way to the pilgrim city Puri with about 75 passengers on board. On the way, the bus driver lost control and the vehicle overturned along the road near Talanagar chhak.  

All the passengers were rescued from the bus by fire services personnel and locals. At least 14 critically injured passengers were shifted to Balasore district headquarters hospital.
