At least two people were killed and as many injured in two separate road accidents in Odisha on Saturday.

As per reports, two persons lost their lives and another person was critically injured after an ambulance was hit by a trailer near Dandakali temple under Khantapada police limits in Balasore district.

The ambulance was en route to Balasore from a hospital in Cuttack when the trailer, coming from the opposite direction, collided with the vehicle. Two occupants of the ambulance died on the spot. The driver of the trailer was severely injured and was rushed to the medical in a critical condition. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

In another incident, the driver of a grape-laden truck was injured when the vehicle overturned near Singada High School Square under Raruan police station in Keonjhar district.

As per reports, the truck was moving at a great speed on its way from Keonjhar to Kolkata. However, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it turned turtle at around 4 am.

Upon being informed, Raruan police reached the spot immediately and rushed the driver to the nearby hospital in a critical condition.
