'OTV Cares' initiative: Relief distributed in flood-hit areas

Odisha Television Limited (OTV) on Wednesday distributed relief kits among over 300 affected families of different villages and pockets of Khanda Sahi and Adhena revenue villages of Rahangerada Panchayat under Gop block in Puri district.

Relief materials are being distributed to beneficiaries of flood-affected Khandasahi village under Rahangagada panchayat in Gop block of Puri district.

Under the initiative ‘OTV Cares’, staff of Odisha Television Limited on Wednesday distributed relief kits in several flood-affected areas in the State. 

On Wednesday, on behalf of Odisha Television Limited (OTV), relief kits were distributed among over 300 affected families of different villages and pockets of Khanda Sahi and Adhena revenue villages of Rahangerada Panchayat under Gop block in Puri district. 

This apart, the people taking shelter on Subarnapur and Siso roads were also provided with the relief kits. A packet of relief kits consisted of a torch, biscuits, sanitary pads and ORS powder sachets.

“The step taken by OTV to distribute relief in flood-hit areas is praiseworthy. If this goes on, it will be an immense help for us and all other flood-affected people in this difficult time,” said a villager. 

“I would like to thank OTV for giving us biscuits, torch, sanitary pads and ORS powder packets,” said a girl from a flood-affected village.

Prior to this, during the pandemic-induced lockdown period, OTV had initiated a door-to-door campaign to provide cooked food to needy people after contacting them over phone.
