Dehra Dun: A leopard was found dead, possibly due to extreme cold weather, in Malhan forest range here, officials said on Tuesday.

The carcass of a five-year-old female leopard was spotted by forest guards in Karbari area during routine patrolling yesterday, they said.

Preliminary examination suggested that the animal died due to cold. However, the exact cause of death will be known only after post-mortem tests, officials said.
