The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun has invites application from candidates for walk-in-interview for engaging Project Personnel.

The Project Personnel will be engaged for an Ocean Conservancy funded collaborative scoping study between Wildlife Institute of India and Zoological Society of London entitled “strengthening the socio-ecological resilience of fishing communities living along the Ganges through equitable and inclusive supply chains that will support ‘less plastic and more fish’.

The Project Associates will be engaged purely on contract basis for a period of six months, with the opportunity for extension. The last date of receipt of application if February 22 and the Walk-in-Interview will be held on February 25, 2022.

Vacancy Details:

1. Project Associate I: 1 Post

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Social Sciences/ e/ Social Work/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity & Conservation from a recognised university or equivalent.

Location of project area: The post will be based in Dehradun, India and field sites in Jharkhand and West Bengal

Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.

Emoluments:

(i) Rs 31,000 +HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIRUGCNET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

(ii) Rs 25,000 +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

2. Project Associate II: 1 Post

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Social Sciences/ Sustainable Development/ Economics/Political Science/ Sociology/ Social Work/ Wildlife Science/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity & Conservation from a recognised university or equivalent.

Location of project area: The post will be based in Dehradun, India and field sites in Jharkhand and West Bengal

Emoluments:

(i) Rs 35,000 +HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

(ii) Rs 28,000 +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
