The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought applications for Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) examination 2022. As the application submission process has begun, interested candidates should visit the official website of UPSC (upsc.gov.in) for details.

Candidates are required to apply online for the UPSC CAPF exam 2022 on or before May 10 (6 pm), and the online applications can be withdrawn from May 17 to May 23 (6 pm). Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. 

Candidates' admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of e-Admission Certificate to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission. 

Age Limit:

A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2022, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1997, and not later than 1st August 2002.

Minimum Educational Qualification: 

Candidates applying must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.

Exam Pattern: 

There will be objective type question paper. Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the paper.

The centres and the date of holding the examination as mentioned above are liable to be changed at the discretion of the Commission. Applicants should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the Centres, except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. 

Allotment of Centres will be on the “first-apply-first allot” basis, and once the capacity of a particular Centre is attained, the same will be frozen. Besides, the Commission reserve the right to change the Centres at their discretion if the situation demands.
