The UPSC has announced the NDA & NA I Exam 2025 with 406 vacancies. Applications are open till December 31, 2024. Eligibility requires a 12th pass in PCM.

UPSC Recruitment

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification inviting applications for NDA & NA I Exam 2025. 

Interested candidates can check their eligibility and apply on the official website of UPSC- upsconline.gov.in. 

While the application process is valid till December 31, 2024, the correction window will remain valid from January 1 to 7, 2025.

UPSC Vacancy Details

Total Vacancy: 406 Posts

National Defence Academy (NDA):

Army: 208 vacancies (10 reserved for female candidates)

Navy: 42 vacancies (6 reserved for female candidates)

Air Force:

Flying Branch: 92 vacancies (2 reserved for female candidates)

Ground Duties (Technical): 18 vacancies (2 reserved for female candidates)

Ground Duties (Non-Technical): 10 vacancies (2 reserved for female candidates)

Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 36 vacancies (5 reserved for female candidates)

Eligibility Criteria

Army Wing of National Defence Academy:

Candidates must have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a recognized State Education Board or University.

Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy & 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy:

Candidates must have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or an equivalent examination conducted by a recognized State Education Board or University.

Age Limit

Only unmarried male and female candidates born between July 2, 2006, and July 1, 2009, are eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

The written examination will consist of two subjects, each with a specified duration and maximum marks. The Mathematics paper (Subject Code 01) will have a duration of two and half hours and is allocated a total of 300 marks. The General Ability Test (Subject Code 02) will also last for two and half hours, with a maximum of 600 marks, bringing the total marks for the written examination to 900.

Additionally, candidates will undergo an SSB Test/Interview, which is also worth 900 marks. All papers in the examination will consist solely of objective-type questions. The question papers for Mathematics and Part B of the General Ability Test will be available in both Hindi and English.

Application Fee

Applicants are required to pay an amount of Rs 100 as the intimation fee. However, Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying any fee. The payment can be made at any SBI branch if a candidate wishes to pay offline. Aspirants can also opt to pay online.
