UPSC lateral entry recruitment: Apply for 17 Joint Secy and  posts; check details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification for lateral entry at the level of Joint Secretary, Director and Deputy Secretary. 

Aspirants can apply for the posts online by visiting the official website at www.upsc.gov.in.

The application process has already commenced and the last date for submission of the application form is June 3.

Educational Qualification

For being eligible to apply, candidates must have passed Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised Board/Institute/University.

Age Limit

• Joint Secretary level post: 40-45 years

• Director level post: 35-45 years

• Deputy Secretary level post: 32-40 years

Pay Scale

• Joint Secretary level post: Pay will be fixed at the minimum of Pay Level-14 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (approximate gross salary would be around Rs 2,66,000)

• Director level post: Pay will be fixed at the minimum of Pay Level-13 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (approximate gross salary would be around Rs 2,18,000)

• Deputy Secretary level post: Pay will be fixed at the minimum of Pay Level-12 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (approximate gross salary would be around Rs 1,43,000)
