The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday released an important notification regarding rejection of applications of several candidates for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2023. 

The Commission informed that the applications of as many as 80 candidates for the preliminary examination have been rejected on the grounds of non-payment of the fees.

“Confirmation has not been received from the bank authorities regarding receipt of fee of Rs 100 in respect of the 80 candidates for Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2023,” the Commission said.  

“In view of the provisions contained in Commission's Examination Notice dated 01-02-2023 for the above examination uploaded on the Commission's website, applications of all these candidates for the said examination have been rejected,” the Commission added.  

Candidates can make appeal against rejection within 10 days along with documentary evidence (hard Copy in original) in the Commission's office latest by 17-03-2023.

Candidates are required to furnish the system generated challan (in original), in case the fee has been paid/deposited through cash mode in SBI or the copy of the debit/credit card statement or Bank account statement as the case may be, in case the fee has been paid through debit/credit card or through internet banking of authorized banks. 

The copy of the statement should be duly authenticated by the bank authorities. 

“In case, valid documentary evidence is not received by the prescribed date (17/03/2023), the application will not be considered for revival. No further communication /request will be entertained by the Commission after the date mentioned above,” the UPSC added.
