The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday announced the much-awaited results of the Civil Services Preliminary exam 2024. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 was held on June 16 and the UPSC has uploaded the roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024 on its official website.

In its latest notification, UPSC has categorically stated that the candidature of the candidates is provisional and all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024.

The dates and important instructions for filling up of the DAF-I and its submission will be announced in due course on the website of the Commission, UPSC said in its notice.

As per official sources, the UPSC Civil Services 2024 exam aims to fill 1056 vacancies in central government services, including prestigious posts like the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). 40 positions are reserved for candidates under the Persons with Benchmark Disability category.

The UPSC CSE Mains 2024 is tentatively scheduled to be held in September.
