The University Grants Commission has invited online applications from Indian nationals for fresh vacancies to the post of Consultant (International Cooperation) and Consultant (NEP). The UGC has asked interested candidates to apply with relevant documents in online mode by visiting www.ugc.ac.in/jobs.

The last date of receipt of applications is May 31. The recruitment will be made purely on contract basis and the number of positions may vary, the UGC said in its notification.

The commission has announced that candidates will be engaged at a monthly remuneration of Rs 50000 to Rs 70000 depending upon qualification and experience and subject to TDS at applicable rates. The period of engagement will be one year initially but is further extendable on the basis of performance evaluation. 

Eligibility:-

Consultant (International Cooperation) - 
Essential qualification: First Class Master’s Degree in Political Science with specialization in International Relations from a recognized university/institute
Desirable qualification: Proficiency in computer applications
Consultant NEP -
Essential qualification: First class Master's Degree in Education from a recognized university 
Desirable qualification: Proficiency in computer applications

Meritorious candidates will be engaged on the recommendation of a duly constituted selection panel.

For Consultant (NEP) post, selected candidates will have to assist in academic, research, and other related activities pertaining to implementation of National Education Policy 2020 and also perform any other associated work assigned by the competent authority.

Similarly, in case of Consultant (International Cooperation) post, candidates are required to assist in promoting global outreach of higher education in line with NEP 2020, provide academic support, research input and coordination between India and various international organisations.
