The University Grants Commission (UGC) had invited applications for Director post from interested and eligible candidates.
“UGC invites applications for the post of Director for Inter-University Centre for Teacher Education, Banaras Hindu University (IUC-TE, BHU), Varanasi,” read the official notification.
Meanwhile, the deadline to apply for the position is October 15, while the last date for receiving hard copies of applications through proper channel is October 26, 2021.

The Director of the Centre will be an eminent academician engaged in all aspects of Teacher Education. He/she will be the Executive Authority of the Centre and shall be responsible for the proper administration and funds of the Centre.
The Director shall coordinate and exercise academic leadership and administrative supervision of all the activities of the Centre.
The emoluments will be the same as those of the Vice-Chancellors of Central Universities. The term of appointment will be for five years or till he/she attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
Persons employed in Government Departments and Autonomous Organisations should apply through proper channel, along with the vigilance clearance.

The application form is to be filled online and print out of complete application form, from the website should be sent to UGC through proper channel along with all necessary documents. The application form can be filled online at, www.ugc.ac.in/jobs.
“The applicants are requested to fill up the online form, take a print of PDF file generated by the online software and send the hard copy of the same with necessary documents through proper channel to the Joint Secretary (Inter-University Centres), University Grants Commission, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi - 110 002,” it read.
