UGC-NET June 2024: Apply for National Eligibility Test, check details

National Testing Agency (NTA) has published an official notification for the recruitment of UGC-NET for ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply through https://ugcnet.ntaonline.in.

The application process has already commenced and the last date to apply online is May 10, 2024.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Master’s degree in relevant discipline from recognised University or Institute.

Age Limit

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), candidates must not exceed 30 years of age as of the June 1, 2024, the concluding day of the examination. However, for the position of Assistant Professor, there is no upper age limit when applying for the UGC-NET. Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules.

Application Fee

The fee payable for UGC-NET June 2024 can be done using the payment gateway(s) integrated into the online application through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. The fee structure is as follows:

• General/Unreserved: Rs 1150

• Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs 600

• Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Person with Disability (PwD)/Third gender: Rs 325

• Starting Date for Apply Online & Payment of Fee: April 20, 2024

• Last Date to Apply Online: May 10, 2024, up to 11:50 PM

• Last date for successful transaction of Examination fee (through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI Payment Modes): May 11, 2024, to May 12, 2024, up to 11:50 PM

• Correction in particulars of Application Form on the website only: May 13 to May 15, 2024, up to 11:50 PM

• Exam Date: June 16, 2024

• Intimation of Cities of exam centers: To be Intimated Later

• Downloading of Admit Card by the Candidate from NTA Website: To be Intimated Later

• Duration of Examination: 180 minutes (03 hours), No break between Paper 1 & Paper 2

• Timing of Examination: To be Intimated Later

• Exam Centre, Date, and Shift: As indicated on the Admit Card

• Display of Recorded Responses and Provisional Answer Keys on the Website for inviting challenge(s) from Interested candidates: To be announced later on the website

• Declaration of Result on NTA website: To be Intimated Later
