The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Odisha has released an important notification regarding the benefits admissible to PWD candidates in the upcoming examination for the recruitment of the Initial Appointee Teachers. 

The Computer Based Test (CBT) for the appointment of 11,403 Initial Appointee Teachers will be conducted from March 3 to 10, 2022.  

In order to avail the benefit of extra time during the examination, an applicant under PWD category has to produce a valid disability certificate in original as well as self-attested Xerox copy before the Centre Superintendent at the Exam centre for verification, the DSE said.

A candidate who fails to produce a valid disability certificate at the examination centre shall not be allowed extra time, it added.

The Directorate further said the provision of scribe will be allowed to other categories of persons with benchmark disabilities on production of a certificate to the effect that the person concerned has physical limitation to operate the mouse for online computer based test from the Chief Medical Officer or Civil Surgeon or Medical Superintendent of a Government health care institution. 

“Candidates of PWD category who are eligible and desire to avail the facility of scribe shall arrange their own scribe and the cost of the scribe if any, shall be borne by the candidate,” the DSE said.  

Candidates willing to avail the facility of scribe need to apply to the Director, Secondary Education, Odisha in the prescribed format enclosed with required information and documents on or before February 24, 2022 through email dseodisha.recruitment@gmail.com.
