SSC Recruitment 2024: Apply for MTS and Havaldar posts before deadline, check if you are eligible

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the official notification for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination (SSC MTS 2024). 

Interested candidates can access and download the notification from the SSC's official website at ssc.gov.in. 

There will also be a window for making corrections in the application forms from August 16 to August 17, 2024.

While the exact dates for the SSC MTS Tier 1 exam have not yet been announced, it is tentatively scheduled for October or November 2024.

Total Vacancy: 8326 posts

• Multi-Tasking Staff: 4887 posts

• Havaldar: 3439 posts

Age Limit

For MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue), candidates should be between 18 and 25 years old.

For Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and certain MTS posts, the age limit is 18-27 years.

Age relaxation applies for reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Class 10 or Matriculation examination or its equivalent from a recognized board by the cut-off date.

Selection Procedure

The selection process includes a Computer-Based Examination (CBE) and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) for Havaldar posts. The CBE will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The CBE will consist of two sessions, and both must be attempted. Failure to attend any session will result in disqualification. Candidates will be shortlisted for the physical tests based on their performance in session 2 of the CBE, provided they qualify in session 1.

Application Fee

The application fee of Rs 100 must be paid online by August 1, 2024.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

Session 1 and Session 2

• Unreserved: 30%

• OBC, EWS: 25%

• All other categories: 20%

• Visit the SSC official website at ssc.gov.in

• On the home page, click on the apply online link

• New users should register themselves

• A registration number and password will be sent to the email or phone number provided

• Fill out the application form and upload the required documents

• Pay the application fee online

• Submit the form, then download and print the confirmation page for future reference
