SSC Recruitment 2023: Apply for over 1,800 Sub-Inspector posts, check selection details

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications for recruitment of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

Interested candidates can apply for the posts through the official website of SSC Headquarters, i.e. https://ssc.nic.in.

The application process is likely to begin today and the last date to apply for the post is August 15.

SSC Recruitment Details

Total Vacancy: 1,876 posts

• Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police-Male: 109 posts

• Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police-Female: 53 posts

• Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: 1,714 posts

Educational Qualification 

All those who are interested to apply for the posts must have Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent. The candidates who have appeared in their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination can also apply.

Age Limit

The age of candidates must be between 20 years and 25 years as on August 1, 2023.

Physical Standard Test

• Male candidates: Height: 170 cm, Chest: 80-85 cms

• Candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions, North-Eastern States and Sikkim: Height: 165 cm, Chest: 80-85 cm

• All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes: Height: 162.5 cm, Chest: 77-82 cm

• Female candidates: Height: 157 cm

• Female candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions, NorthEastern States and Sikkim: Height: 155 cm

• All female candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes: 154 cm

Physical Endurance Test

For male candidates

1. 100 metre race in 16 seconds

2. 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes

3. Long Jump: 3.65 metre in 3 chances

4. High Jump : 1.2 metre in 3 chances

5. Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metre in 3 chance

For female candidates

1. 100 metre race in 18 seconds

2. 800 metre race in 4 minutes

3. Long Jump: 2.7 metre in 3 chances

4. High Jump: 0.9 metre in 3 chances
