In a major announcement, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that it will take up the process to fill up a whopping 70,000 additional vacancies in different government departments. 

The Commission in its notice dated June 20 said the notices of the specific examinations will be uploaded on the official website in due course. 

The notice signed by the Under Secretary to the Government of India stated, "The Commission, in its continuous efforts to expedite recruitment process, would be taking up the process of filling of about 70,000 additional vacancies."

It continued: "Notices of specific examinations will be uploaded on its website in due course. The candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission at regular intervals for further updates." 

In another notice, the Commission announced the revision of the guidelines for the evaluation of typing test/DEST scripts (English /Hindi). 

"Staff Selection Commission has revised the existing guidelines for evaluation of Typing Test / DEST scripts (Hindi/English). The revised guidelines along with instructions to the candidates have been uploaded on the website of the Commission in the 'Candidate's Corner'. The revised guidelines are implemented with immediate effect," the notice read.
