SSC JE 2022 notification out for multiple Group B vacancies, salary as per 7th Central Pay Commission

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold an open competitive Examination for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) for various Ministries/Departments/Organisations. 

The posts are Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), in Level-6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.

The submission of online applications has commenced on August 12, 2022 and the last date for receipt of applications is September 2, 2022.

Vacancies: Vacancies will be determined in due course. Updated vacancy positions will be uploaded on the website of the Commission (https://ssc.nic.in >Candidate’s Corner > Tentative Vacancy).

Essential Educational Qualifications/Experience (as on 02.09.2022):
Degree/diploma in relevant branch of engineering along with requisite experience.

Age Limit as on 01.01.2022:
The age limit for the various posts of Junior Engineers is 30 and 32 years and relaxation in the upper age limit is permissible as per rules.

How to Apply and Application Fee:
Applications are required to be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters; i.e., https://ssc.nic.in. Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 03.09.2022 (2300 hours). 

Scheme of Examination:
The Examination will consist of two Papers; i.e. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive). The Computer Based Examination will tentatively conducted in November, 2022.

Mode of Selection:
Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows: (i) UR : 30%, (ii) OBC/EWS : 25%, (iii) SC / ST : 20%
