The Southern Railway has announced openings for Sports Persons under the Sports Quota and is inviting applications.

Educational Qualification
To be eligible for these positions, sportspersons must meet the minimum educational qualifications as outlined below:
For posts at Level 1 of the 7th Pay Matrix: 10th Pass or equivalent, ITI certification, or NAC granted by NCVT.
For posts at Level 2 and 3 of the 7th Pay Matrix: 12th Pass (+2 stage).
For posts at Level 4 or 5 of the 7th Pay Matrix: Graduation is required.
Age Limit
Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years of age as of January 1, 2024. Only individuals born between January 1, 1999, and January 1, 2006 (inclusive) are eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection procedure comprises the initial step of inviting all eligible candidates to take part in a trial. After the trial, only those candidates who exhibit both the required fitness and skills, scoring 25 or more out of 40 points, which encompasses game proficiency, physical fitness, and evaluations by the coach, will advance to the next phase of the recruitment process. Candidates who receive a "NOT FIT" rating from the Trial Committee will not proceed to the subsequent assessment conducted by the Recruitment Committee.
