The State Bank of India (SBI) has released an official notification for recruitment of candidates into Specialist Cadre positions of Deputy Manager and Assistant Manager.

Eligibility Criteria

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Software Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent degree in the mentioned disciplines with a minimum 50% score. Or MCA or equivalent, or M.Tech/ M.Sc in Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering/ Electronics/Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent degree in these specified disciplines from a recognised institute or University.

The minimum work experience required and educational qualification is varied across some posts, candidates can refer to the official website for the rest of the details.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for Deputy Manager position is 25 years and maximum is 35 years. However, the minimum age limit for Assistant Manager post is 21 years and maximum is 30 years. The maximum age limit relaxation for reserved category candidates will be based on Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process

For the role of Deputy Manager, candidates will be shortlisted based on the criteria decided by the bank and will be called for interaction in case the candidate fulfils the set criteria. However, the candidates applying for the role of Assistant Manager, will be required to appear in an online written test and interaction. The test will comprise of Test of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General IT Knowledge carrying 100 marks.
