The curfew in Sambalpur town in the aftermath of violence on the eve of Hanuman Jayanti celebrations has pushed the conduct of the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) examination into uncertainty.

The preliminary examination for the recruitment to ASO posts in Orissa High Court is scheduled for tomorrow (April 16).

A Twitter user Rohit Bagh took to the microblogging site to inquire how aspirants in Sambalpur would appear for the scheduled examination.

"Kali high court aso ra exam aachi... Aspirants mane sambalpur re jahara centre aachi se mane kipari exam debe??," he asked.

Meanwhile, speaking to OTV, Collector Ananya Das said discussions are underway regarding different examinations scheduled for tomorrow.

Das appealed to the public not to believe in rumours. While interacting with the media, the Sambalpur Collector said that the Home Department today extended the ban on internet services in Sambalpur for another 48 hours.
