Sainik School Sambalpur has issued an official notification for recruitment into various posts such as Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Driver. Recruitment in all the mentioned positions will be on a contractual basis.

Eligibility Criteria

TGT: Candidates applying for this position are required to have an integrated degree course of Regional College of Education NCERT in Social Science with an aggregate of 50%. Or a graduation degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50% or as per the bylaws rules of CBSE for the post of TGT.

Candidates are also required to have a minimum of two subjects out of History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology and Geography or Hons Graduation with History/Political Science/Geography as the main subject in all the three years of graduation/four years integrated degree course. 

Aspirants applying for this position should have a B.Ed degree from a recognized University. S/He must have cleared central teacher eligibility test (CTET) or STET, conducted by central/state govt/CBSE. The candidates should have proficiency in teaching with the medium being English. 

UDC: Applicants applying for this position must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university and have at least 2 years of office experience in a government or commercial organization. Proficiency in correspondence in both Hindi and English is essential, along with a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute in English, Hindi, or a regional language on a computer. 

Knowledge of shorthand will be considered an added advantage. Candidates with higher qualifications and, expertise in GEM procurement, store management, or computer applications will be given preference.

LDC: Candidates should have passed 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board, with a typing speed of 40 words per minute in English, Hindi, or a regional language on a computer, and the ability to correspond in both Hindi and English. Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications, knowledge of CCS rules, leave rules, and experience in maintaining personal files and service records. Additional advantages include expertise in accounting, tally, financial procedures, and balance sheet preparation, as well as shorthand proficiency and accounts management skills.

Driver: Aspirants must have passed matriculation from a recognized board and possess a valid driving license for both heavy-duty and light four-wheeler vehicles. Preference will be given to those with at least 2 years of experience driving heavy and light vehicles, particularly school vehicles, and knowledge of first-line maintenance. Ex-servicemen with heavy vehicle driving experience will also be prioritized.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for the position of TGT should be between 21 and 35 years of age on November 30, 2024. However, candidates applying for UDC, LDC, and driver should be between the age of 18 and 50 years as of November 30, 2024.

Selection Procedure

The selection process is divided into three phases. The first phase will consist of a written test, followed by a Class demonstration/physical/skill test/proficiency/trade test in the second phase. The third and final phase will include interviews.

The dates for the tests will be declared on the school website on the third week of December 2024.

Candidates are required to make a demand draft of Rs 500 whereas; candidates belonging to the category of SC/ST are required to make a demand draft of Rs 250.
