SAIL recruitment: Rourkela Steel Plant invites applications for 400 apprentice posts, details here

The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has released a notification for engagement of graduate, technician and trade apprentices in Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), Odisha. 

As many as 400 posts are up for grab for ITI, diploma and graduate candidates. The last date to apply for the posts is September 30.  

SAIL recruitment vacancy details: 

Trade Apprentices: 172 posts
Technician Apprentices: 164 posts 
Graduate Apprentices: 64 posts

Age Criteria: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on date 30.09.2022. 

Stipend: The apprentices are eligible for monthly stipend as per Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules 1992 as amended from to time during their engagement period. 

Reservation: As per the guidelines of Govt. of Odisha, shall be followed with applicable age relaxation.

Selection: Selection for engagement of Apprentices for training would be on merit basis, considering their percentage (%) of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualifications as applicable to respective branch/ trade.

Requirement before filling online registration:

Before applying for the apprentices positions, candidates have to register themselves on online portals of the following agencies of Govt. of India: (a) For Trade Apprentices: In the link https://apprenticeshipindia.org/ (b) For Graduate/Technician Apprentices: National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) in the link https://portal.mhrdnats.gov.in.

As per the official notice, the residents of Sundargarh district will be given preference over others. Eligible applications from other districts of Odisha and then rest of India may be considered, only if there are any vacancies left after the selection process which cannot be filled by Sundargarh district residents.
